Nabeeha Kazi

Executive Director

Nabeeha is the Executive Director of No Wasted Lives.  She leads advocacy, financing, policy development and civil society mobilisation efforts to scale up the prevention and treatment of acute malnutrition in high-burden African and South Asian countries. With more than 20 years of public health, nutrition, agriculture and early childhood development expertise, Nabeeha has directed multi-sectoral initiatives and programmes to accelerate global development impact at scale. She served as President & CEO of Humanitas Global and served in senior roles with global communications firm, FleishmanHillard and The Clinton Foundation’s Global HIV/AIDS Initiative, and implementing advocacy and community programmes for UNICEF, the EastWest Institute and the International Maize and Wheat Improvement Center (CIMMYT). 

Nabeeha was born in Pakistan and raised in the United States and Mexico. She speaks English, Hindi, Spanish and Urdu fluently, and has worked on community programmes in more than 20 countries. She holds Bachelor’s degrees in Political Science and Journalism and Mass Communications from Kansas State University, in Manhattan, Kansas, and Master’s degrees in International Affairs and Public Health from Columbia University in New York.

Amy Mayberry

Head of Evidence

In her role, Amy leads the technical and research activities of No Wasted Lives, including management of a portfolio of innovative operational research to generate new evidence and support to the Council of Research & Technical Advice on Acute Malnutrition (CORTASAM) to effectively drive the uptake and use of emerging evidence on acute malnutrition. Previously, she led a portfolio of nutrition evaluations and research at the Children’s Investment Fund Foundation (CIFF) and worked with PATH Malaria Vaccine Initiative and the World Bank. She holds a BA in International Studies, a BS in Cellular, Molecular & Developmental Biology from the University of Washington and a Masters in Health Sciences from Johns Hopkins University Bloomberg School of Public Health.

Bernardette Cichon

Research Advisor

Bernardette provides research and technical support to No Wasted Lives, with particular focus on cost-effectiveness. She has more than ten years’ experience working in international nutrition and previously worked with Action Against Hunger, Doctors without Borders and Valid International. She holds a BSc in Nutritional Sciences from The University of Southampton (UK), an MSc in Public Health Nutrition from The London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine as well as a PhD in Paediatric and International Nutrition from the University of Copenhagen.

Anne Salter

Research Uptake and Communications Advisor

Anne manages communications and research uptake for No Wasted Lives, including our research portfolio and our partner site the State of Acute Malnutrition. She has eight years experience in marketing and communications roles across a number of sectors both for profit and non-profit, including The Inclusive Business Hub, The Federation of Social Organisations of Costa Rica, Ashoka Mexico and Social Enterprise UK.  She holds a BA in Spanish and Politics from The University of Southampton (UK) and a Master in International Relations from the Institut Barcelona d'Estudis Internacionals (Spain).

Savanna Henderson

Programme Associate

Savanna supports advocacy and policy engagement efforts at No Wasted Lives and brings extensive project experience in research translation, advocacy, behaviour change, stakeholder engagement and community mobilisation programmes in health, food, agriculture and nutrition around the world.  Savanna holds a Bachelor of Arts in Conservation Studies from George Mason University and a Master in Sustainability Science from the University of Massachusetts Amherst.

Kim Winkler

Communications Assistant

Kim supports communications activities and manages social media for No Wasted Lives as well as overseeing content on our partner site The State of Acute Malnutrition. She has six years experience in communications, translation and administration roles from work as a freelancer as well as for Zimmers Solicitors and Telecompaper. She holds a BA in Franco-German Relations from Université de la Sorbonne Nouvelle – Paris III (France) and a Master in International Journalism from the London Metropolitan University (UK).
