No Wasted Lives Appoints Nabeeha Kazi-Hutchins as Executive Director

No Wasted Lives announced today that it has appointed Nabeeha Kazi-Hutchins as its Executive Director. Ms. Kazi-Hutchins brings more than 20 years of advocacy, policy and programme experience in nutrition, agriculture, early childhood development, and maternal and child health to No Wasted Lives, where she will lead advocacy, financing and policy development efforts.
“The No Wasted Lives Executive Committee is thrilled to welcome Nabeeha,” said Kate Hampton, CEO of the Children’s Investment Fund Foundation. “Nabeeha’s dynamic and strategic leadership is essential to No Wasted Lives’ priorities of both preventing acute malnutrition and scaling up treatment - putting an end to the five million child deaths that occur each year due to acute malnutrition.”
Nabeeha currently serves as President & CEO of Humanitas Global, a Washington, DC-based international development organisation. She has directed multi-sectoral programmes to accelerate impact on food, agriculture, nutrition and health priorities worldwide. She has served in senior roles with global communications firm, FleishmanHillard and The Clinton Foundation’s Global HIV/AIDS Initiative, and implemented advocacy and community programmes for UNICEF, the EastWest Institute and the International Maize and Wheat Improvement Center (CIMMYT).

Nabeeha has embodied this vision throughout her career of collaborating with governments, civil society and global institutions.”

Nabeeha was born in Pakistan and raised in the United States and Mexico. She speaks English, Hindi, Spanish and Urdu fluently, and has worked on community programmes in more than 20 countries. She holds Bachelor’s degrees in Political Science and Journalism and Mass Communications from Kansas State University, in Manhattan, Kansas, and Master’s degrees in International Affairs and Public Health from Columbia University in New York.
